To develop friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Finland, and to establish and strengthen cultural and educational ties; To promote the formation in Finland of a comprehensive and objective understanding of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a sovereign, democratic and law-based state, a country with rich cultural and scientific potential, and an active and peaceful partner; To cooperate with government bodies and other organizations in maintaining a continuous exchange of information on international, scientific and cultural cooperation; To establish, in accordance with the established procedures, relations with non-governmental and other international organizations; To establish information and reference resources and databases on the Republic of Uzbekistan, and to familiarize the Finnish people with Uzbekistan’s achievements in culture, art, science and education; To organize, in accordance with established procedures, performances by artistic groups and individual performers, television and film screenings, exhibitions of fine arts and traditional folk crafts, photo exhibitions, as well as comprehensive events dedicated to the Republic of Uzbekistan and Finland; To promote the development of relations and cooperation with Finnish citizens residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan and their associations; Together with the Government and other organizations, to cooperate in developing international relations in the areas of humanitarian, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, as well as partnerships between cities and regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Finland; To disseminate information about the activities of the Society through the mass media; To carry out publishing, production and economic activities for the purpose of fulfilling the statutory objectives of the Society; To attract foreign investors, international foundations and public organizations to the implementation of programmes, projects and initiatives aimed at developing cultural and educational ties; To involve prominent figures in science and culture, veterans, and representatives of women’s and youth organizations in promoting the national cultures and traditions of the Uzbek and Finnish peoples; To organize receptions for Finnish delegations and individuals, expand relations with compatriot communities, and establish the exchange of delegations; To establish commissions in various areas of the Society’s statutory activities, involving the necessary specialists; To study the experience of developed foreign countries in organizing cultural and educational relations.
